On 1 October
we took over our new home. We were aware, that the house needed what could be called a "caring hand", but what then looked as a "reasonable" task turned out to be almost "impossible". Further, the address "Fortunvej" could best be translated as "Fortune Road" and is actually very appropriate for the "project"...
We started by removing most of the interior and dig 50 cm down in the basement. It was unluckily revealed, that the foundation shown on the original drawings from 1934 were not existing
in "real life" and we had to make one !
When we moved in on 28. June 2004, it wasn't in any way suitable as human quarters. Although we still thought, that we had a long way to go, we believed, that we could see light at the
end of the tunnel. How VERY optimistic...
